Sync across devices

How signed-in content moves between devices, including conflicts, offline edits, quotas, and retention.

For humans

Sync starts after you sign in. Open cpcpcbcb.com on another device with the same account to see the same editor content.

What syncs

  • Editor HTML (text and structure)
  • Images you pasted or inserted while signed in (uploaded to public image URLs)
  • Changes pushed to other open sessions over a live connection when available

Anonymous sessions never call the sync APIs.

After you sign in

If the cloud account is empty but this browser still has local content (from anonymous use or a previous session), a dialog asks whether to upload that content. Nothing is uploaded without that confirmation.

Conflicts and offline

  • If another device changed the same content while you were editing, the app asks how to resolve the conflict instead of silently overwriting.
  • Offline, you can keep editing locally; when the network returns, pending changes upload in batch.
  • Multiple browser tabs on the same device stay visually in sync with each other.

Quotas and retention

Signed-in accounts are limited to:

Resource Limit
All clipboard HTML combined 20MB
Images 20
Cloud retention 7, 30 (default), or 365 days

Retention is based on last cloud edit time. Change the period in the sidebar Usage section. Shortening retention may be blocked if it would expire existing content immediately.

The sidebar also shows current storage and image counts so you can see usage before you hit a limit.
